“When Art Illuminates Energy”

By VIDEOS

Art, business, and new technologies came together to unleash the energy of collective action during the Energy Days in Katowice, Poland. In this context, the Respect Energy pavilion was transformed into an exhibition space showcasing works by the eminent Wojciech Siudmak, digitally created specifically for the occasion, with the main theme being energy. This initiative highlighted the interconnectedness between artistic creativity and technological innovations.

At the same time, the PRECOP 29 conference addressed crucial climate-related issues in various contexts, particularly through culture and art. This session brought together experts and artists, including Wojciech Siudmak, to discuss how art can influence the perception of environmental challenges.

Together, they explored how artistic initiatives can help raise public awareness and inspire concrete actions toward sustainability.

The exhibition showcases nearly 100 iconic works by Master Wojciech Siudmak, renowned through various cultural events and publications. Among them is the sculpture “The Conductor” (2023), created based on the painting “The Pursuit of Sound,” presented in two versions, one in bronze and the other in a large-scale format produced using 3D printing.

The exhibition is enhanced by multimedia projections based on the works of Wojciech Siudmak, revealing the intricacies of the drawings, following the concept of “The Nobility of the Line.” The artist’s drawings bear the influences of the art of the great masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, described by the artist himself as the « electrocardiogram of his soul ».

Discover it until March 3, 2024.

The vernissage of the exhibition “Siudmak. Cosmogonie” was a wonderful artistic event, graced by the presence of the artist himself – Master Wojciech Siudmak! The choir of the University of Economics in Katowice, under the direction of conductor Michał Brożek, performed “Dona nobis pacem” from Wojciech Kilar’s Missa “Pro Pacem.” The choice of this piece was dictated by the personal relationship between Wojciech Siudmak and Wojciech Kilar, who shared common ideals.

At the heart of the Tichauer Art Gallery, works known and appreciated worldwide are presented. This includes the famous series of events in 1999 in France, accompanying the celebrations of entering the new millennium, or works featured in Siudmak’s renowned exhibition at the Eiffel Tower.

I would like my paintings to remind the residents of this building that they can be the masters of each new day, that they can live it positively. It was important to me that my artistic narrative gives them a sense of happiness. I hope they will be particularly proud to have such a decorated place as their residence,

summarized Wojciech Siudmak, the author of the paintings transferred to the walls of the building in the courtyard of Więckowskiego Street 4.

Those who enabled the installation of Wojciech Siudmak’s artwork on the internal facades of the building are Małgorzata Wachowicz, graduate architect engineer, and Andrzej Wachowicz, doctor of architectural engineering, both partners of Pracownia Autorska 28 studio.
